Bridge Builder Communities to Break Ground on Tiny Home Village for Foster Youth Transitioning to Adulthood

Augusta, GA – March 19, 2025 – Bridge Builder Communities is excited to announce the groundbreaking of its highly anticipated Tiny Home Village, an innovative initiative designed to support young adults aging out of the foster care system. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 10:30am at 1140 Merry St. Augusta GA 30904, marking a significant step in the organization’s mission to provide safe, stable housing and essential life skills for young adults transitioning to independence.

The success of this project is in-part made possible through the incredible support of our major construction sponsors: Beasley, Ivey Homes, RW Allen & McMillian, Phazen, and Smith Architecture. Their generosity and commitment to community-driven change have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.

"We believe that every young adult leaving foster care deserves a strong foundation to build their future," said Dr. Jackson Drumgoole, Executive Director of Bridge Builder Communities. "This groundbreaking represents more than just the start of construction—it symbolizes a new beginning for the many young people who will call this community home. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors for their dedication to this cause."

The Tiny Home Village will feature 25 tiny homes, shared community spaces, and comprehensive life skill development programs aimed at fostering independence and long-term success.
